CATHOLIC CENTRAL GIRLS FALL IN FINAL

The Catholic Central girls’ basketball team lost to Averill Park, 61-49, in the Section II Class A championship at Hudson Valley Community College on March 3. Sophomore Tanavia Turpin had a team-high 12 points for the Crusaders (19-3) and teammate El' Dior Dobere, an eighth-grader, added 11 points as both players made the all-tournament team. The rest of the team is made up of sophomore Meg Paul, senior Samantha Ayotte, freshman Gabriella DiBacco, senior Angelena Guiliano, freshman Akarri Gaddy and sophomore Brooklyn Moore.
