The faithful in the Diocese of Albany had the special opportunity to venerate over 150 relics, some over 2,000 years old, as a national exposition titled “Sacred Relics of the Saints, Treasures of the Church,” stopped at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Albany on Dec. 13. Some of the relics on display were from St. Joseph, St. Maria Goretti, St. John the Baptist, St. Therese of Lisieux, St. Francis of Assisi, St. Anthony of Padua, St. Thomas Aquinas and St. Faustina Kowalska. There was also a fragment of the Veil of Our Lady and some of the largest remaining pieces of the wood of the True Cross in the world.
