IT'S BEEN 20 YEARS since Warren County's "Northern Points Cluster" was formed from parishes in Chestertown, Hague and North Creek. Last weekend, St. Isaac Jogues in Chestertown/Hague (formerly St. John the Baptist and Blessed Sacrament) and St. James in North Creek celebrated their linkage with a special Mass. Above, leaving St. Isaac Jogues during the recessional are altar server Nick Watson; former pastors Rev. George Fleming (now pastor of St. James parish in Chatham, St. Joseph's in Stuyvesant Falls/Stottville and St. John the Baptist parish in Valatie) and Joseph O'Brien (now pastor of Holy Spirit in East Greenbush); Rev. Daniel Nelson, OFM, a psychology professor from Siena College in Loudonville who helps out with Masses for the cluster, and current pastor Rev. John O'Kane; Deacons Robert Wubbenhorst and Joseph Tyrrell of Bolton Landing; and Bishop Emeritus Howard J. Hubbard. See more photos of the Mass in The Evangelist's print edition.
