PARISHIONER RICHARD DOTY helps to bless the newly-installed "heritage window" at Our Lady of the Assumption parish in Latham during celebrations of the parish's 50th anniversary last weekend as Rev. Geoffrey Burke, pastor, and designer Kevin Morgan watch. "A parish is not buildings or structures, but the tapestry of the individuals, families, staff and parishioners whose lives are woven together over the years by the celebration of their faith," the parish noted in its anniversary history. OLA's goal is to "continue to share our faith with others, as well as continuing to be a welcoming community for the building up of God's kingdom of justice and peace."For more photos of the anniversary, see The Evangelist's print edition.
