AN ANGEL STATUE donated in honor of pastor emeritus Rev. James Lefebvre of St. Mary's parish in Albany by current pastor Rev. John Provost and parishioners stands watch as Father Lefebvre (seated) greets Rev. Peter Young after a surprise dedication ceremony in Altamont. The statue and serenity garden dedicated to Father Lefebvre are at the Beacon of Hope Care Center, which hosts an anti-drunk-driving program. Father Lefebvre, who was chaplain for decades for the Albany Police Department, as well as the FBI and the Northeast Chiefs of Police Association, thought he was simply coming to bless the statue.
