"GOLDEN," A TEDDY BEAR belonging to Madelon Swinton of St. Mary's School in Waterford that was brought around the world by airline pilot Tyler Darby and profiled in The Evangelist's Dec. 13 issue (see story at www.evangelist.org), found a new home at Christmas. Madelon sent the bear to Mr. Darby's daughter, Lily, one of his three-year-old triplets, who'd fallen in love with Golden when the pilot stopped at home with the bear. Above, a delighted Lily opens her gift, which came with a book about Golden's round-the-world travels. "When I started to read [the] letter, I choked up," wrote Mr. Darby. "Both [my wife and I] were wiping our eyes." Lily loves Golden "so much, and the box is now his bed," the pilot added.
