NEW PASTORAL ASSIGNMENTS
Bishop Mark O’Connell is pleased to announce the following pastoral assignments:
Father Michael Flannery has been named parochial vicar at St. Kateri Tekakwitha Parish in Schenectady. This move was effective May 1. Father Alexander Turpin has been named parochial vicar of Holy Trinity Parish in Columbia County (St. Mary’s Church in Hudson, Church of the Resurrection in Germantown, and the Chapel of the Nativity of Our Lord in Linlithgo), effective June 1.
Father Samuel Bellafiore has been named diocesan Director of Vocations and Director of Campus Ministry, effective July 1.
Father Stephen Yusko has been named pastor of The Parish of St. John the Evangelist & St. Joseph in Rensselaer and St. Mary’s Church in Clinton Heights, effective July 1. (Father Dan Quinn remains pastor of Blessed Sacrament Church and Our Lady of the Americas Shrine in Albany. The new pastor of the Parish of Mater Christi and All Saints Church in Albany is still to be determined.).
Father Rendell Torres has been named a Spiritual Director of Pope John XIII Seminary in Weston, Mass., effective July 1. (The new rector of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception is still to be determined.).
Father James Walsh is retiring as pastor of St. Pius X Church in Loudonville on Oct. 1, and will be replaced by Father Brian Kelly on that date. (The new pastor of St. Ambrose is still to be determined.).
Deacon Timothy Kilpeck has been named permanent deacon of Holy Mother and Child Church in Corinth, St. Paul’s Church in Rock City Falls and St. Joseph’s Church in Greenfield Center, effective June 1.
