SATURDAY, JANUARY 10

Albany

Basketball Free-Throw Championship sponsored by the Latham-Colonie Knights of Columbus #3394 at 11:30 a.m., at St. Clare’s Church and School (1947 Central Ave.). The competition is open to boys and girls ages 9-14 and all skill levels. No entrance fees! Each contestant will have 15 free throws and compete in their own age and gender categories (Contestant age as of Jan. 1, 2026). Clifton Park

Epiphany 2026 Semi-Formal Ball at St. Edward the Confessor Church (569 Clifton Park Center Road) at 5 p.m. This is for young adults 18-plus. Registration is required. Hosted by the Ardens Fidelis Young Adult Catholic Group. No outside alcohol will be permitted. Drinks will be provided with the ticket cost. Breakfast Buffet hosted by the Latham-Colonie Columbiettes at the Latham-Colonie Knights of Columbus Council (328 Troy-Schenectady Road) from 8:30-11:30 a.m. The menu includes scrambled eggs, an omelet station, home fries, corned beef hash, bacon and sausage, pancakes and French toast served with warm syrup, a variety of cereals and juices, bananas and hot tea, coffee or hot chocolate. Adults are $15, children (5-10) are $6 and kids under 5 are free!

Monthly Healing Liturgy hosted by the Catholic Charis­matic Renewal (CCR) at Christ Our Light Church (1 Maria Drive). Prayer and Praise starts at 7 p.m., and liturgy is at 7:30 p.m.  Presider is Father Kyle Gorenski. Individual healing prayer after liturgy. All are welcome! Please join us and bring a friend.

Polish Brunch sponsored by Our Lady of Fatima and the Knights of Columbus. This church fundraiser (1735 Alexander Road) will be held from noon until sold out. A Day of Healing and Hope at St. Clement’s Church (231 Lake Ave.) from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. This Hope and Healing retreat is for women experiencing miscarriage, stillbirth or infant loss. Find comfort, connection and renewal in Christ’s love. This retreat, led by Eileen Tully, offers a sacred space for mothers to grieve, pray and honor the lives of their children. Adoro Te Group meeting at St. Edward the Confessor Church (596 Clifton Park Center Road) at 6:30 p.m. in St. Edward’s Social Hall. Adoro Te is a lay, young-adult missionary group focused on fostering devotion to the Most Holy Eucharist. Their mission is to “live in Eucharistic love and draw others to do the same,” through free events on Eucharistic doctrine, devotion, and the saints. Adoro Te is the name derived from the 13th-century hymn “Adoro Te Devote” (I Devoutly Adore You), attributed to St. Thomas Aquinas. All are welcome, and youth in grades 9 and up are encouraged to attend.
