FUTURE WORLD OF LEARNING
Eighth-grade students at Mater Christi School in Albany stepped into the future of learning on Tuesday, Jan. 27, with help from Maria College. As part of Catholic Schools Week, the college brought its Mobile Virtual Reality Lab to campus, giving students hands-on experience with virtual reality technology used in college-level nursing and health care education.
Students participated in interactive STEM lab sessions, beginning with a brief tutorial before exploring guided virtual simulation scenarios that reflect real-world health care environments. College staff led the sessions, introducing students to how virtual reality supports learning in STEM, health and wellness fields.
Maria College said in an email that the “visit highlights its commitment to community partnerships and expanding access to emerging technologies, while helping students explore future career pathways at an early age.”
