Supply Drive: The Columbi­ettes and Knights of Columbus Latham-Colonie #3394 (328 Troy-Schenectady Road) are hosting a school supplies drive to assist local families with needed school supplies for a successful school year! Any supply donations may be dropped off at the KOC from now through Labor Day, any time after 4 p.m.

Schenectady

Michigan Hot Dog Dinner at St. Paul the Apostle Parish Center (2777 Albany St.) ­following the 4 p.m. Vigil Mass. Dinner options: 2 Michigan hot dogs for $12, 1 Michigan hot dog for $9, or 1 plain hot dog for $7. All dinners include hot dog(s), chips, choice of salad, beverage and dessert. A container of Michigan hot dog sauce is also available for $6. Tickets on sale after Masses. All are welcome! Please join us.

Ravena

Feast of the Assumption Festival presented by St. Patrick’s Church (21 Main St., Ravena) from 1-6 p.m., with food, crafts and family fun. The event will be rain or shine. If bad weather is forecasted, we will be in the school building. Festa kicks off with a procession in front of the church at 1 p.m. Children’s games and activities, crafts and food vendors, Rail to River Brewing Company, Italian food offerings by the parish, live music (Soul Provider) from 2:30-5:30 p.m., pet therapy animals and much more! Charismatic Healing Liturgy at Christ Our Light Chapel (1 Maria Drive): Come and experience the healing power of prayer with the Holy Spirit. The evening kicks off with praise and worship at 7 p.m., followed by Mass at 7:30 p.m. Individual prayer teams available immediately after Mass. Music for the evening provided by Joyful Heart.

Holy Day: Assumption of Mary at St. Henry’s Church (39 Old Route 66): There will be a special Vigil for the Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Adoration and confession from 5-6 p.m., rosary at 5:30 p.m., and Mass at 6 p.m.

Health, History, & Horses Charity Gala presented by Ladies of Charity Saratoga Chapter at the Saratoga Wilton Elks Lodge (1 Elks Lane) from 6-9 p.m. Funds raised are distributed annually to established charities in Saratoga & Warren/Washington Counties, such as Catholic Charities, food kitchens, shelters and tuition support programs. Complimentary beer and wine for the first hour, hot and cold food stations, cash bar, live music, silent auction, four seasons basket raffle, 50/50 raffle and racetrack t-shirt quilt. Caregiving asks more than time and energy — it asks us to remain present in moments that can feel uncertain, overwhelming or emotionally complex. This program invites caregivers to explore what it means to stay grounded not only emotionally, but spiritually, remaining engaged with both self and God in the midst of daily demands. Friday Fish Fry at Saratoga Knights of Columbus Council #246 (50 Pine Road) from 5-7 p.m. Due to the increased cost of ingredients, the price of our dinners has changed. Fried or baked fish dinners are $18 and a clam dinner is $15. Dinners include fries, coleslaw, tarter sauce, and cocktail sauce. A Day of Reflection: “Birthing Jesus In Our Lives,” hosted by the Gentle Woman of Praise Chapter of Magnificat at the Sisters of the Resurrection Provincial House (35 Boltwood Ave.) from 10 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Join us for a day of spiritual renewal! The Day of Reflection will include adoration, rosary, the Sacrament of Reconciliation, Mass, a reflection by Deacon Gary Riggi, prayer and praise. Please bring your own bag lunch and beverage.
