Eucharistic Procession: Triumph of the Holy Cross at St. Luke’s Church (1241 State St.) at 2 p.m. Join us as we pray for religious freedom and respect for life issues. The day will begin in the church with Scripture and the exposition of the Blessed Sacrament that will then be processed through the central State Street neighborhood with hymns and prayers. The procession will conclude in the church with Benediction. For those who would like to participate but find it difficult to walk, the rosary will be offered in the church during the procession. You are encouraged and welcome to join with many parishes as we give witness to our faith.

Pilgrimage of Hope for Creation to the Kateri Shrine (3636 NY-5, Fonda) from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Join us for the 10th anniversary of Pope Francis’ encyclical “Laudato Si’ ” and the 800th anniversary of St. Francis’ Canticle of Creation during the Jubilee Year of Hope. The shrine is a pilgrimage site for the jubilee. Some plans for the day: Stations of the Cross in Light of Laudato Si’, the Glorious Mysteries of Creation, a meditation walk to the spring where Kateri was baptized, a reflection by Melissa Miscevic Bramble, director, titled “St. Kateri — The Bride of Christ and Example for the Ages,” and a reflection by Terry, Algonquin nation, on “Native Spirituality and Catholicism.” The day ends with liturgy at 4:30 p.m.
