Christ Child Society to hold baby shower
It’s a baby shower and you’re invited! The Albany Chapter of the National Christ Child Society (CCS) — a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping children and families in need with layettes, literacy and hygiene programs — is hosting its annual baby shower to support local moms and families.
The CCS’s Baby Shower and Luncheon will be held Saturday, Oct. 4, from 12-2 p.m. at St. Madeleine Sophie’s Parish Center (3500 Carman Road in Schenectady) to support the organization’s layette program. Each CCS layette contains a collection of diapers, onesies and other newborn items that are organized and then distributed to social service agencies to deliver to moms in need.
Donations will be collected at the baby shower. In-need items include handmade afghans and quilts (36 in. by 42 in.), receiving blankets, 0-3 month onesies, 0-3 month sleepers, baby socks, handmade sweater sets with hats or booties, size 1 diapers, hooded towels, washcloths and infant board books.
To attend the luncheon, please RSVP by Sept. 25 to Anna Montanaro via phone (518) 269-2315 or email [email protected].
