SATURDAY, OCTOBER 25

Vespers in the Manner of Taizé at All Saints Church (16 Homestead St.) at 5:30 p.m. Members of the All Saints Choir and lectors will be taking part in a Taizé Vespers service. Vespers in the manner of Taizé is a meditative and ecumenical form of evening prayer. The core of the Taizé service is the meditative readings followed by singing of short, often Scripture-based musical selections. The music consists of repetitive songs and chants that are sung and become a meditative form of prayer. Based on the practices of the Taizé Community, an international monastic order founded in France in the 1940s, the order seeks to foster reconciliation among Christians. The overall atmosphere encourages a deep reflection on love, repentance and God’s presence. Please join us for a lovely, spiritual program!
