Blood Pressure Screenings at St. Henry’s Church (39 Old Route 66): St. Henry’s Health Concerns Committee has scheduled blood pressure screenings by health care professionals on Saturday, Oct. 3, and Sunday, Oct. 4, after all Masses in the Blue Room. Open to everyone. This service will be available on a monthly basis.

Spaghetti Dinner at St. Henry’s Church (39 Old Route 66) from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Sponsored by the parish’s Knights of Columbus group. Cost is $10 for adults, $6 for children under 12, or $25 per family (two adults with children). We will be serving spaghetti, meatballs, salad, bread, dessert and beverages. Latham 

Blessing of the Animals at Our Lady of the Assumption Parish (498 Watervliet Shaker Road) at 12 p.m. in the parking lot of the church. Join us in celebrating the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals and the environment. Bring your furry, feathered or scaled companions to receive a special blessing. Please ensure pets are leashed or safely contained!

Polish Platter Drive-Through Dinner at Church of St. Adalbert Parish Center (550 Lansing St.) from 2 p.m. until sold out! Cost is $18 per dinner and includes two potato and cheese pierogis, golabki, kielbasa, kapusta and rye bread.

Pet Blessings: In the spirit of St. Francis, the patron saint of animals, we invite you to bring your beloved pets — whether furry, feathered or scaly — for a blessing as we honor and love the companionship they provide. Services will be on Saturday, Oct. 4, at 11 a.m. in St. Clare’s parking lot (1947 Central Ave.) and on Sunday, Oct. 5, at 11:30 a.m. at Christ Our Light in the parking lot (1 Maria Drive). Please ensure your pet is safely leashed or caged!

Life in the Spirit Seminar at Christ Our Light Church Parish Hall (1 Maria Drive) from 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Join the Catholic Charismatic Renewal (CCR) on Saturday, Oct. 4, and Saturday, Oct. 11, for talks on salvation, a relationship with Jesus, guidance of the Holy Spirit and more! Out of the Darkness Walk for Suicide Prevention at Dutchman’s Landing Park: The walk is free to attend, with donations welcome, to support suicide-prevention programming in Columbia and Greene counties. The event begins with a moving ceremony at 10 a.m., followed by the walk with your neighbors and friends. Drive-Thru Spaghetti Dinner at St. James Church (117 Hudson Ave.) from 10-2 p.m. The Knights of Columbus are hosting a drive-thru dinner pickup!
