Vassallo, JCL, at St. Paul the Apostle Parish Center (2777 Albany St.) from 9-11 a.m. Sister Marilyn offers a retreat on the importance of recovering silence in our own lives. Through reflection and sharing we will rediscover a deeper awareness of the presence of God in our lives, families, church and world. Sister Marilyn, a canon lawyer, has served multiple dioceses across the country with her spiritual guidance and legal intellect, including in the Albany Diocesan Tribunal Office as Defender of the Bond.

Vaffeldagen Waffle Day: Scandinavian Celebration for the Feast of the Annunciation at St. Adalbert Parish Center (570 Lansing St.) at 12 p.m. The Knights of Columbus Council #201 is starting a new tradition with a long-time Catholic celebration from Scandinavia, Vaffeldagen Waffle Day! Come grab some delicious waffles with a variety of toppings. We’ll also have sausage, chicken tenders, dessert, coffee, tea, etc. Our guest speaker will be Simon McGuinness from Birthright Schenectady. Cost of admission is a donation of any baby item for the Baby Shower for Life, or a goodwill offering that will go to Birthright of Schenectady.

Semi-Annual Spring Stamp & Postal History Show at Albany American Legion (4 Everett Road Extension) from 9:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Event features 16 dealers with exhibit stamps, covers, postcards, postal history and ephemera materials. Children will receive free packets of stamps and covers. Dealers will be available to give real market values for any family stamp collections at no charge. Hosted by the Fort Orange Stamp Club (FOSC).
