Spa Catholic baseball team wins Section II Class C crown
The Saratoga Central Catholic baseball team won its sixth sectional title, and first since 2011, after the Saints defeated Granville, 5-2, for the Section II Class C crown on May 29. The Saints (shown in photos celebrating after their win) are 23-1 and ranked second in the state for longtime coach Alphonse Lambert, who is in his 37th year coaching the team. The Saints advance to the state tournament, which starts June 5. (Sam Caron photos)
