Empowering Our Youth at All Saints on the Hudson (52 William St.) from 11 a.m.-2:30 p.m. in the parish hall. Parents, guardians and any interested adults are invited to join us for a program on “Building Self-Esteem and Combating the Effects of Bullying.” This special event is designed for parents and concerned adults to address the effects of bullying and cultivate healthier self-esteem in children. Partici­pants will learn how to em­power young people to build confidence and resilience, recognize and respond to bullying behaviors in constructive ways, and foster a supportive environment where bullying is discouraged. End Gun Violence: Hope More, Fear Less: The St. Vincent’s End Gun Violence Group will meet at 9:45 a.m., between Masses, in Meeting Room 1 at St. Vincent’s (900 Madison Ave.). Our speaker will be Darlene Ward from “Hope More, Fear Less,” the gun violence task force at First United Methodist Church in Delmar. All are welcome.

January Breakfast Buffet with the Latham-Colonie Colum­biettes (28 Troy-Schenectady Road) from 8:30-11:30 a.m. Menu includes scrambled eggs, an omelet station, home fries, corned beef hash, bacon and sausage, pancakes and French toast served with warm syrup, a variety of cereals and juices, bananas and hot tea, coffee or hot chocolate. Brown Bag Ministry Kickoff at St. Mary’s Crescent (86 Church Hill Road). With the temperatures getting colder, it is time to start our Brown Bag Ministry. We will begin on Sunday, Jan. 12, and continue once a month through Code Blue season. This vital outreach provides bagged lunches to Shelters of Saratoga, supporting their efforts to feed the hungry through their outreach van and Code Blue shelter. You can also support this ministry through financial contributions to help purchase the supplies needed. Donations can be dropped off during office hours or placed in the collection basket in an envelope marked “Brown Bag Ministry.”
