Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes at the Friends of VI Grotto (475 Yates St.) at 11 a.m. The grotto is located at the corner of Yates and Ontario Streets. All are welcome!

The Mater Christi Parish Gala at the Italian American Community Center (257 Washington Ave Ext.) will be held from 5:30-9:30 p.m. We are excited to be bringing back this annual event. Please plan to join us as we celebrate 70 years as a Catholic parish and school community and honor our dedicated members: Mary Ellen Doyle Sochor and Roger and Katherine Martel. Night includes dinner buffet, live music and silent and live ­auctions. All proceeds to benefit Mater Christi School. CPR/AED Class at St. Edward’s Church (569 Clifton Park Center Road) from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. Clifton Park/Halfmoon EMS will be teaching a CPR/AED class in St. Edward’s social hall. Bridges Out of Poverty Introductory Training at Immaculate Conception Church (400 Saratoga Road) from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. Poverty can have many faces and can be invisible to many of us. This Bridges Out of Poverty training provides an increased understanding of the challenges faced by those with limited access to resources and offers strategies for assisting individuals to move from surviving to thriving.
