Albany

Lessons and Carols at All Saints Catholic Church (16 Homestead St.) from 6:30-7:30 p.m. The festival of “Lessons and Carols,” which dates back to the late 1800s, is a service in which we listen to nine Scripture lessons, each followed by a carol or other song that reflects on the lesson’s message. Combined, they function as a “call and response” between Scripture and song, guiding the listener through the “loving purpose of God” that culminates in the Christmas story. All are invited to participate in this tradition! For questions, contact the parish office at (518) 482-4497.
