The Way of the Cross for Children at St. Henry’s Church (39 Old Rte. 66) at 12 p.m. Please join us inside the church for a special observance of the Stations of the Cross for children. They will wash their hands as Pilate did, see the Veil of Veronica, hammer their own nails into the cross, and more. Good Friday Events at Our Lady of the Valley (111 Wells Ave.): Ecumenical Way of the Cross at 12 p.m.; a “Women of Jerusalem” prayer service at 2 p.m.; and fish-fry dinner pick-up (fried flounder, coleslaw and French fries) in the church parking lot from 4-6 p.m. with $15 donation.

Brothers Walking With Christ Meeting: This community group is for men of all ages who have both a need and a desire to discover and embrace God in their everyday lives. Our initial meeting is offered at Christ the King Church (20 Sumter Ave.) on Monday, April 20, at 6:30 p.m., in the rectory, and at St. Matthew’s Church (25 Mountainview St.) on Wednesday, April 23, at 6:30 p.m., in Room 5. All men are invited to join with Father Rick at either parish and come together over the hunger men have for an honest, whole and holy (not perfect) life.

Resurrection Celebration at Francesca’s Banquet Hall (144 E Main St.) from 7-11 p.m. Join us for dinner, dancing and a silent auction to celebrate the Resurrection! Dinner includes roast beef au jus, chicken franchise, penne alla vodka, green beans almondine, roasted seasoned potatoes and dessert. Proceeds benefit our teens who will be attending the Steubenville Youth Conference in July. The event is sponsored by the Knights of Columbus Council 1805. Cost per person is $50. Bountiful Bread FUN-draiser for the Christ Child Society of Albany: Help raise money for a good cause while enjoying a delicious meal from Bountiful Bread in Stuyvesant Plaza on Tuesday, May 6, from 4-7 p.m. Bountiful Bread will donate 20 percent of the sales during that time back to the chapter. Eat-in, takeout and even Grub Hub delivery orders during that time qualify. Thank you for your support!

Tag Sale at Immaculate Conception Church (400 Saratoga Road) for the Rosary Altar Society: We will be accepting items for donation from May 5-14, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m.-4 p.m., as well as from 6-8 p.m. on May 8, 9 and 12. Your donations are greatly appreciated; however, there are a few items we cannot accept as we do not have the means to dispose of them. These include: electronics, TVs, shoes, homemade DVDs, videotapes, out-of-season clothing, baby strollers and cribs, large pieces of furniture, or previously worn undergarments.
