Mary’s Way of the Cross at All Saints Catholic Church (16 Homestead St.) at 6:30 p.m. Join us for this special Stations of the Cross offered through the eyes of Mary. The readings are very powerful and emotional as Mary walks beside her son on the road to Calvary and his crucifixion.

SATURDAY, APRIL 12

Niskayuna

“Aging in Recovery” One-Day Retreat at the Dominican Spiritual Life Center (1945 Union St.) from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. This retreat is designed specifically for individuals over 60 who are engaged in recovery from any addiction (AA, NA, OA, etc.). This day includes talks on spirituality, health, friendship and community, group discussions, mindful movement sessions tailored for all abilities, and opportunities for personal reflection and expression. Schenectady

Spring Bake Sale at St. Adalbert Church (550 Lansing St.) in the parish center. Join us Saturday, April 12, from 12-3 p.m., and Sunday, April 13, from 12-1:30 p.m. Featured items for sale include our parish-baked babka (Polish sweet bread), pies, pizzas (Polish and breakfast), and a variety of other baked goods. All proceeds go to the bake sale’s host: the Altar Rosary & Holy Name Societies.

Schenectady

Palm Saturday and Sunday Bake Sale at St. Anthony’s Church Hall (331 Seward Place). Saturday, April 12, from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. and Sunday, April 13, from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. A variety of baked goods are available: rice pie, biscotti, cream puffs, cannoli, guanti, pepper cookies, wine cookies, and more!

Schenectady

Annual Palm Sunday Weekend Bake Sale at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church (600 State St.). Saturday, April 12 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. and Sunday, April 13 from 8:45 to 10:30 a.m. in the gathering area of the church. All kinds of baked goods suitable for the Palm Sunday and Easter holidays will be available, including Easter breads, cookies, pies, nut breads, cakes, etc. The public is cordially invited! Semi-Annual Spring Stamp & Postal History Show at the Albany American Legion (4 Everett Road Extension) from 9:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Event features 16 dealers with exhibit stamps, covers, postcards, postal history and ephemera materials. Children will receive free packets of stamps and covers. Dealers will be available to give real market values for any family stamp collections at no charge. Hosted by the Fort Orange Stamp Club (FOSC).

Latham

Columbiettes Breakfast at the Latham-Colonie Knights of Columbus (328 Troy Schenectady Road) from 8:30-11:30 a.m. Spring has finally arrived! Stop in for a hearty and delicious breakfast. Menu includes scrambled eggs, an omelet station, home fries, bacon, sausage, corned beef hash, pancakes, French toast with warm syrup, cereal and bananas, bread, pastries, juice, coffee, tea, or hot chocolate. Please note no food can be taken out unless you purchase a takeout breakfast! Adults are $13, children 5-10 are $6, and under 5 are free.

Northville

Pasta Dinner Benefit for St. Francis of Assisi Church at Sport Island Pub (108 River­side Drive) from 12-4 p.m. Join us for this takeout pasta dinner. All proceeds go toward St. Francis of Assisi parish in memory of Arianna M. Lanzi. Dinners are $15.

Red Cross Blood Drive at the Latham-Colonie Knights of Columbus #3394 (328 Troy Schenectady Road) from 12-4:30 pm. To schedule an appointment, call 1-800-RED-CROSS or visit redcrossblood.org. If you donate blood between April 14 and April 30, you may be eligible to receive a Red Cross T-shirt and enter for a chance to win a $5,000 cash prize.

Holy Thursday Dinner at Immaculate Conception Parish Hall (400 Saratoga Road) from 4:30-5:30 p.m. Serving meat lasagna, salad, and bread (gluten-free and vegetarian options available on request!). RSVP online on the parish websites or in the gathering space by April 14. Limit of 200 guests. No cost but freewill offering accepted.

Good Friday Events at Our Lady of the Valley (111 Wells Ave.): Ecumenical Way of the Cross at 12 p.m.; a “Women of Jerusalem” prayer service at 2 p.m.; and fish-fry dinner pick-up (fried flounder, coleslaw and French fries) in the church parking lot from 4-6 p.m. with $15 donation.

Carlo Acutis Super Mario Kart Tournament at Immaculate Conception (400 Saratoga Road) from 6-8 p.m. Event will feature a Mario Kart tournament (with prizes), other video games, pizza and indoor games. Red Wagon Luncheon and Fashion Show at the Italian American Community Center (257 Washington Ave., Ext.) hosted by the Christ Child Society of Albany. The day begins with coffee and pastry at 10:30 a.m., followed by our Fashion Show at 11 a.m. by J. Jill sharing unique and fashionable women’s apparel, accessories and footwear. Our models will be the members of the Christ Child Society. All are welcome! Lunch will be served at 12 p.m. The selections are chicken parmesan with penne pasta, grilled salmon in lemon basil butter with rice, and French rata over polenta cake (GF/DF/V). There will be a drawing for many lovely theme baskets and door prizes. Adult reservations are $50 and child reservations are $20. Reserva­tions due by April 10.
