Drive-Through Chicken Barbeque at Our Lady Queen of Peace (210 Princetown Road) from 4 p.m. until sold out. Dinners prepared by Wagon Train Barbeque. Hosted by the OLQP Altar Rosary Society. Cost is $18.

Troy

Giuliano Chicken Barbeque hosted by the Women’s Guild of St. Michael the Archangel Parish (175 Williams Road) from 4-6 p.m. Cost is $15 per meal and consists of a half barbecued chicken, baked potato, coleslaw, corn on the cob, roll and a homemade brownie. Takeout or drive-through only. Please pre-order your dinner. Voorheesville

Jordan St. Cyr Concert at St. Matthew’s Church (25 Mountainview St.) KLOVE Artist Jordan St. Cyr will join us at St. Matthew’s for an evening of fellowship and inspirational music! Tickets are $25 and include a meet and greet, complimentary refreshments and concert admission. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., meet and greet is 6-6:30 p.m., and the concert is 7-8:30 p.m.

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 27

Schenectady 

Fourth Annual Community Day at St. Luke’s Church (1241 State St.) from 2-4:30 p.m. in the Furman Street parking lot. Along with hot dogs, hamburgers, snacks and beverages, the free event will also distribute gently used clothing and a limited supply of household goods to community guests. Throughout the afternoon, there will also be drawings for Target gift cards. Guests can also visit community organization tables to learn about services and obtain SAFE Child ID cards.

Troy

Spaghetti Dinner hosted by Sacred Heart School (308 Spring Ave.): Dine-in times: 4 p.m. or 6 p.m., or takeout times: 4-6:30 p.m. Dinner in­cludes spaghetti with sauce, meat­balls, side salad, bread and dessert. Adults (13 and up) are $13, children (7-12) are $7, and children under 6 are free. Family of four deal available for $30. Funds will go toward tuition assistance for our families! Life Chain Sunday with the Society of Our Lady of Guadalupe, held on the public sidewalk on Central Avenue (Route 5), near the Wolf Road intersection at Colonie Center shopping mall, from 2-3 p.m. Join us to stand in silent, prayerful witness to the sanctity of pre-born human life. The 52nd Annual Diocesan Marriage Jubilee Celebration at Christ Our Light Catholic Church (1 Maria Drive) at 3 p.m. Couples celebrating their 25th, 40th, 50th or other special wedding anniversaries are invited to attend this celebration. Bishop Edward B. Scharfenberger will celebrate the Mass at 3 p.m. and greet couples and their guests at a reception in the parish hall immediately following Mass. Catholic Central School’s Centennial Golf Tournament at Albany Country Club (300 Wormer Road, Voorheesville.). The Catholic Central School Centennial Year celebrations continue with our golf tournament. Fee is $160 per golfer (18 holes, cart, lunch and dinner). The Blessing of the Animals: All animals, big and small, alive and stuffed, can receive this annual blessing in honor of St. Francis, the lover of animals.
