Sept. 11 Anniversary Masses and prayer services
Years may pass, but the pain caused by the September 11 attacks remains, and prayer is still needed. The Roman Catholic Diocese of Albany has created a special webpage to let all know where and when they can find opportunities to join others in prayer in our Diocese on September 11, 2024: https://www.rcda.org/september11healing
Some are offering Mass, others are offering a prayer service. All are welcome.
Romans 12:21: Do not be conquered by evil but conquer evil with good.
Matthew 18:20: For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.
Lord God,we ask Your loving presence among us as we gather to commemorate the tragic events of 11th September 2001.
We ask Your blessing as we remember all those
who lost their lives, who gave their lives in service to others,
and for all those who helped and comforted
their brothers and sisters in their need.
As we mark this solemn day, we also pray for our communities and our nation, that we may all work for peace and reconciliation,
justice and goodness and that all may live without fear and enjoy the fullness of life that is Your gift.
Amen
