First Friday Devotion at St. Francis of Assisi Church (391 Delaware Ave.) from 7:15-8:15 p.m. The Albany Chapter of the Nocturnal Adoration Society invites you to adore the Sacred Heart of Jesus every First Friday with us. During adoration, we recite the Liturgy of the Hours, followed by silent meditation. Please use the side entrance (handicap ramp). All are welcome! Bring a friend! Free will offering is appreciated.

First Friday Devotional Services at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church (600 State St.) following the 12:15 p.m. Mass. Women’s Day of Reflection, hosted by the Albany Chapter of Magnificat, at the Sisters of the Resurrection Provincial House (35 Boltwood Ave.) from 10 a.m.-2:30 p.m.  Check-in begins at 9:30 a.m., in the vestibule of the chapel. The day will include Mass, adoration, Rosary, confession, divine mercy chaplet, lunch (bring a bag lunch and beverages), praise and worship, and talks by Father Daniel McHale and Father Tom Fallati. The theme is “Surrender to the Divine Will.” Cost is a free-will donation. Please register by Friday, Sept. 6. Seating is limited! Halfway to Saint Patrick’s Day at the Parting Glass (40-42 Lake Ave.) at 5 p.m. A fundraiser for the Ancient Order of the Hibernians Hunger Project to support local food pantries. The night will feature two Celtic bands, Triskele and Hair of the Dog, and performances by the Wild Irish Acres Dancers!
