Mary’s Way of the Cross at St. Joseph’s Church (231 Second St.) at 7 p.m. Join us this Friday for a powerful presentation of the Stations of the Cross through the eyes of Jesus’ mother, Mary. Please invite a neighbor or friend and join us for this special evening.

Haddock Fish Dinner Fridays at Immaculate Conception Parish Center (400 Saratoga Road) from 4-6:30 p.m., or until sold out. The Glenville Knights of Columbus will host a fundraising fish dinner these Fridays of Lent (March 15 and 22). Indoor dining includes your choice of fried/baked haddock, fried/baked potato, along with coleslaw, hush puppy, dessert and coffee/drink. Takeout orders of fried haddock, fried potato, coleslaw, hush puppy and dessert are also available. All dinners are $15. For children (6 years and under), mac and cheese dinners will be available for $5. Cash or checks only. Proceeds go to local charities and food banks. For information, email [email protected].

Fish Fry Fridays at Transfigur­ation Parish (50 Hillview Drive) from 4-6:30 p.m. Join us on Fridays in Lent (March 15, 22) for our parish fish fry. In-house and takeout are available! A special seafood chowder (with shrimp and clams) is available for takeout only on Friday, March 29 (with a 4-6 p.m. pick-up). Orders can be placed at the fish fry dinners or by calling the parish office (518) 235-0337 between 9 a.m.-2 p.m., Monday through Thursday. Chowder must be pre-ordered by Tuesday, March 26.

St. Patrick’s Day Corned Beef Dinner at Christ the King Church (20 Sumter Ave.) from 5-7 p.m. in the parish center. Takeout available! Adults are $20 and children under 12 are $5. Lenten Faith on Film at St. Vincent de Paul Church (900 Madison Ave.) at 2 p.m. Join us for the latest installations in our Lent film series! Join us for “Brooklyn” on March 16, and “Jesus in Montreal” (in French, with subtitles) on March 23. All movies are held in the parish meeting room 1 (downstairs in the church.)

The first half of the evening will be “A Visit with St. Paul” with a performance by Glen Smith (6:30-7:30 p.m.), followed by adoration, benediction, faith sharing, and a reflection by Deacon Tom Fallati (7:30-9 p.m). Evening of Song and Lenten Retreat at St. Vincent de Paul Church (900 Madison Ave.) Join us on Friday, March 22, for an Evening of Song at 7 p.m. and a Lenten Retreat on Saturday, March 23, from 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Composer Dan Schutte, whose music includes “Here I Am, Lord,” and approximately 160 other hymns, will lead the Evening of Songs and the Lenten Retreat. Blessing of the Easter Baskets at St. Michael’s Church Hall (20 Page Ave.) at 10:30 a.m. Come out for a fun day where children and their Easter baskets will also receive a special blessing! The blessing of the Easter baskets, also known as “Swieconka,” is one of the most enduring and beloved Polish traditions on Holy Saturday during Easter.
