Vocation Discernment Retreat Weekend for the Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm at St. Teresa’s Motherhouse (600 Woods Road). Open to young women ages 18-35. Retreats include prayer, peace and relaxation, Liturgy and Eucharistic Adoration, Sacra­ment of Reconciliation, reflections by sisters, and evening prayer with sisters. Albany

Coffee & Conversation Group: Join St. Francis of Assisi Parish as we gather at Professor Java’s Coffee Sanctuary (145 Wolf Road in Shoppers Plaza) from 2-3 p.m. Please join us for coffee and fellowship as part of this “parishioner-led social group.” This is an opportunity to build community, share our faith and discuss topics of interest to the St. Francis community. One possible goal for these gatherings is to discern what sort of other opportunities for service, social/fellowship and/or spiritual education might be of interest to our faith. This is a drop-in group, all are welcome!

Breakfast Buffet at the Post: The American Legion Post 1092 (1802 Union St.) breakfast is open to the public and served every Saturday from 8-10:30 a.m., except major holidays. Breakfast is a buffet with scrambled eggs (plain or with onions and peppers) bacon, sausage patties or links, home fries (plain or with onions and peppers) and cake and coffee (French toast or pancakes are available at times).

Bereavement Support Group in the Living Room Art Gallery at Historic St. Agnes Cemetery (48 Cemetery Ave.) from 10-11:30 a.m. Grief is a difficult emotion to cope with and can be very isolating. Our bereavement support group provides a safe and confidential place for those who are grieving to share their stories, experiences, show compassion to one another and remember loved ones. We welcome those who may just want to try a bereavement support group and listen in a comforting, no-pressure environment. Offered the first Wednesday of each month. Guilderland

Trivia Night at Christ The King Church (20 Sumter Ave.) at 6 p.m. in the parish’s Knights Chapel. Join us for the Knights of Columbus Council 3357 annual trivia night! Tickets are $15 per person, $20 per couple. Includes pizza and soda, with beer available for purchase. Net proceeds go to local charities. Mardi Gras at the Church of St. Mary (163 Columbia Turnpike, Unit 2) from 7-10 p.m. Please join us for Mardi Gras at the Church of St. Mary! There will be a live band, dancing, appetizers and merriment! Tickets are $15 per person and will be sold before and after weekend Masses. Childcare will not be available for this event.

February Luncheon with the New York Capital District Christian Women’s Connec­tion at the Guilderland Elks Lodge (3867 Carman Road) from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Our guest speaker is Jennifer Ebaugh who will talk about choices and consequences, with a special feature from NEWS10’s chief meteorologist, Steve Caporizzo. THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 15

Albany

Coffee and Conversation at Christ the King Church (20 Sumter Ave.) at 6 p.m. in the Knights Chapel. Join us for an informative presentation about traditions! Our focus will be on Lenten traditions but we will also take a look at others that have prevailed in our culture — some old, some new. Why do we do them? How do they increase our faith? Hopefully, we will also share things we do within our own family structure that keep our faith alive. Maybe we will even sing a little Fiddler!
