The County of Albany has announced that a Public Information Meeting will be held to discuss the proposed roadway rehabilitation of New Karner Road (CR 157 & NY 155) between Western Avenue (US 20) and Watervliet Shaker Road (4.06 miles). The meeting will be held on Thursday, February 1, 2024 beginning at 6:00 p.m. at The Celtic Hall, 430 New Karner Rd, Albany, NY 12205.

The purpose of the meeting is to present the proposed design for roadway rehabilitation which includes improvements to the pavement, sidewalks, guide rail, traffic signals, signage and the construction of the roundabout at the intersection of New Karner Road/Washington Avenue Extension/Madison Avenue Extension. The goal is to receive comments on the proposed project from individuals, groups, officials, and local agencies. This Public Information Meeting is part of the continuing efforts by the involved local, state, and federal agencies to encourage public input into the development of transportation projects.
