Albany Diocesan Cemeteries Community Memorial Mass with Father Burke at Our Lady of the Assumption Church (489 Watervliet-Shaker Road) at 9 a.m. Community Memorial Masses are held to honor loved ones who have passed and are interred within our 22 cemeteries. Special Epiphany Celebrations hosted at the Catholic Community of Northern Columbia County: Our three churches — Church of St. Joseph (1820 U.S. Rte. 9, Stuyvesant), St. James Church (117 Hudson Ave., Chatham), and St. John the Baptist Church (1025 Kinderhook St., Valatie) — will be celebrating on the 12th day of Christmas both during the Mass and afterwards the revelation that Jesus is the Son of God. It is the feast when the Three Kings arrived to pay homage to Jesus, Mary and Joseph. Please plan on joining us and bring your children, grandchildren, godchildren and nieces and nephews! Let us celebrate Jesus our Lord and Savior!

A Blessing of the Organ and Recital at Holy Spirit Church (667 Columbia Turnpike) at 3 p.m. Join us for a blessing of our church organ followed by the organ recital. Light refreshments will be served after the recital.

Alateen Meetings at St. Edward the Confessor (569 Clifton Park Center Road) at 4 p.m. Alateen is for young people whose lives have been affected by someone’s drinking. Teens can learn that they are not alone and discover ways of coping with their situation. Healing begins by meeting and sharing with others. Meetings are held weekly at St. Edward’s. Youth Ministry Eucharistic Adoration at St. Paul the Apostle Church (2777 Albany St.) from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Jesus said to Peter “So you could not keep watch with me for one hour?” One hour is all Jesus asked of his Apostles; can you give Jesus one hour? Adoration is open to all who feel called to adore Jesus Christ, who is truly present in the Eucharist. Let us take this time to break away from our busy schedules and enjoy silence in God’s presence.
