Apply now for Pastoral Associate for Leadership Formation Program
The Offices for Discipleship Formation and Evangelization & Strategic Planning are pleased to announce that we are currently accepting applications for the 2024-25 Pastoral Associate for Leadership Formation Program. The application deadline is Oct. 8.
This program introduces the practical, ministerial and spiritual elements of a pastoral associate’s role, which can vary depending on the needs of the pastor. Formation consists of an eight-month schedule that starts with a gathering and orientation on Oct. 16, and ends with a closing Mass and celebration on May 21, 2025.
Due to the collaborative effort of diocesan staff and several parish leaders and other lecturers, the program is offered without charge, but participants may be responsible for obtaining some reading materials. Upon successful completion of the program, participants will receive a certificate of recognition from the Roman Catholic Diocese of Albany. Although completion of the program does not guarantee a job at a parish or parish network, it does provide a recognizable credential for obtaining one.
For more information and application materials, please visit the Pastoral Associate for Leadership Formation web page (www.rcda.org/offices/office-discipleship-formation/pastoral-associate-leadership-formation-program), send questions to [email protected] or call (518) 453-6670.
