Registration open for the Unleashing Love Diocesan Women’s Conference: Registration is now open for the Unleashing Love Diocesan Women’s Conference on Saturday, Oct. 19, at St. Edward the Confessor Church (569 Clifton Park Center Road) in Clifton Park. The event, which runs from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with the theme “Awakening our hearts to share God’s love." Early registration is $45 per person until Oct. 4. Regular registration is $50 per person from Oct. 5-18 and day of registration is $55 per person on site. College age and younger women are free, but need to register. FRIDAY, AUGUST 23

Church of St. Mary’s Annual Golf Classic at Olde Post Road Golf Club (92 Schuurman Road). Registration and breakfast begin at 9 a.m., followed by a shotgun start at 10 a.m. sharp. Complimentary beer, wine and an awards banquet will start at 3 p.m., with dinner at 4 p.m. Pricing includes greens fees, golf carts, breakfast, beverages throughout the day, and a buffet dinner. Foursome is $520; per player is $130. Dinner only is $30 (includes complimentary beer and soda). Tournament format: Four-person scramble, closest to the pin, longest drive and putting contest. Evening Prayer at Athens Riverfront Park (4 N. Water St.) at 6:30 p.m. Come join us for an hour of prayer, music and reflection. This is the last of our August meetings, so please join us! Prayer will be held inside St. Patrick’s Church in Athens in case of rain. All are welcome! Please bring your lawn chairs.

Christ Child Society of Albany Fundraiser with Glennpeter Jewelers (1544 Central Ave.) from 5:30-7:30 p.m. The Christ Child Society of Albany, together with Glennpeter Jewelers, is planning a “Fun-Raiser!” Glennpeter Jewelers will provide hot and cold appetizers along with a cash-only bar. All proceeds, including tips, will benefit the Christ Child Society. There is no admission, however, there will be door prizes, a gift card pull, and an opportunity to take chances on a variety of themed baskets. Glennpeter Jewelers will also be running some special sales on jewelry during this event. Women’s Day of Reflection, hosted by the Albany Chapter of Magnificat, at the Sisters of the Resurrection Provincial House (35 Boltwood Ave.) from 10 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Check-in begins at 9:30 a.m., in the vestibule of the chapel. The day will include Mass, adoration, Rosary, confession, divine mercy chaplet, lunch (bring a bag lunch and beverages), praise and worship, and talks by Father Daniel McHale and Father Tom Fallati. The theme is “Surrender to the Divine Will.” Cost is a free-will donation. Please register by Friday, Sept. 6. Seating is limited!
