BBQ Chicken Dinner at Imma­culate Conception Church Parking Lot (400 Saratoga Road) from 4-7 p.m. or until sold out. Dinners are provided by Miller’s Backyard BBQ. Menu includes 1/2 chicken or pork option with coleslaw, baked potato and cornbread. Drive-thru and takeout only! Dinners are $15; cash or check only! Make checks payable to Knights of Columbus.

Annual Festa at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church/St. Margaret of Cortona (210 Princetown Road). Family fun and entertainment. Great food, kids games, amusement rides, drawings, baked goods and more! Open Friday, Aug. 9, from 5-11 p.m.; Saturday, Aug. 10, from 5-11 p.m.; and Sunday, Aug. 11, from 3-9 p.m.

Clifton Park

Step Up Men’s Conference at St. Edward the Confessor Church (569 Clifton Park Center Road). The Step Up Men’s Conference will give men the tools needed to grow in holiness in their everyday lives. The focus of the event is to grow in our love and relationship with Christ, empower men to live a more virtuous and holy life, develop relationships and brotherhood with each other, and establish a plan to bring this energy back to their families and parish families. Keynote speakers include Bishop Edward B. Scharfen­berger and Michael “Gomer” Gormley, mission Evangelist for Paradisus Dei. Registration: $55 per person from Aug. 1-9. Red Cross Blood Drive at Immaculate Conception Church (400 Saratoga Road) in the Parish Hall from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Our church community continues to support the Red Cross in their efforts to address the need for blood donations and we are hopeful that this will always continue. Currently, there is a national blood shortage. If you are a regular donor, please consider donating. If you are someone who has never considered donating blood, this is a great time to consider giving the gift of life with your donation. Appointments are required! Charismatic Healing Liturgy at Christ Our Light Church (1 Maria Drive). Join us for our monthly healing liturgy! Our evening begins with Prayer and Praise at 7 p.m. (music provided by Joyful Heart), followed by a liturgy and healing prayer at 7:30 p.m. Presider is Father Kyle Gorenski. THURSDAY, AUGUST 15

Latham

Evening Holy Hour in the Medita­tion Garden at Our Lady of the Assumption Church (498 Watervliet Shaker Road). Join us for an Evening Holy Hour followed by a bonfire and marshmallows! The night begins with Mass at 5:30 p.m., followed by a picnic dinner. Eucharistic procession and adoration will follow from 7:30-8 p.m., and benediction at 8 p.m. Then we will gather around the bonfire, a symbol of our shared warmth, and enjoy some sweet treats! Please bring your own chairs or blankets.

SUNDAY, AUGUST 18

Queensbury

Marian Devotion at Our Lady of the Annunciation Church (448 Aviation Road) at 12:30 p.m. after the 11:30 a.m. Mass. The devotion includes a procession and a Rosary with readings and songs. There will be no Mass during the devotion. Please consider joining us to honor Our Blessed Mother. The church is air-conditioned! Hosted by the Monsignor Curtin Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus. 

FRIDAY, AUGUST 23

Castleton

Church of St. Mary’s Annual Golf Classic at Olde Post Road Golf Club (92 Schuurman Road) Registration and breakfast begin at 9 a.m., followed by a shotgun start at 10 a.m. sharp. Complimentary beer, wine and an awards banquet will start at 3 p.m., with dinner at 4 p.m. Pricing includes greens fees, golf carts, breakfast, beverages throughout the day, and a buffet dinner. Foursome is $520; per player is $130. Dinner only is $30 (includes complimentary beer and soda.) Tournament format: Four-person scramble, closest to the pin, longest drive, and putting contest.
