Cobleskill

Chicken & Ribs BBQ: The Knights of Columbus Council 4475 will hold a Chicken & Ribs BBQ at Noble Ace Hardware, 783 E Main St., beginning at 10 a.m. until sold out. Chicken dinners are $15 and rib dinners are $16. Dinners include coleslaw, baked potato and a roll. BAR-B-QUE DELIGHTS will cook. Proceeds will support the youth ministry at Our Lady of the Valley Church and a local seminarian.

Rotterdam Junction

Birthright Baby Shower at St. Margaret of Cortona Church, 1228 Main St., at 12:30 p.m. in the church hall. We are asking for donations of baby clothing, personal care items such as diapers, wipes, etc., as well as comfort items such as blankets, pacifiers and burp cloths. The items should be for newborns through age 2. Please do not wrap your gifts. We hope you can join us for fun games and refreshments to support a worthy cause. Breakfast Buffet hosted at the Cohoes Knights of Columbus Hall, 255 Remsen St., from 8:30-11:30 a.m. Menu features an omelet station, corned beef hash, bacon, sausage, home fries, pancakes, French toast with warm syrup, muffins, toast, coffee, tea, hot chocolate and a variety of juices. MONDAY, MAY 29

Colonie

Diocesan Memorial Day Mass with Reverend John Bradley at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, 1389 Central Ave., at 10 a.m. Please join us as Our Lady of Angels joins thousands of Catholic cemeteries across the United States in a national celebration, “Serving God and Country: A Memorial Day Salute to Our Heroes.” This national program, developed by the Catholic Cemetery Conference, honors men and women who died while serving in the armed forces, as well as recognizing both active-duty military and veterans. The Memorial Day Mass will take place outside, under a large tent, rain or shine.

Schenectady

Memorial Day Cemetery Mass at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, 10 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Cemetery (100 Kings Road), weather permitting. In the event of inclement weather, the Mass will be held at St. Joseph’s Church (600 State St.) The public is cordially invited. Waterford

May Senior Event Pizza Party at St. Mary’s Church, Crescent, 86 Church Hill Road, at 1 p.m. Seniors, you are invited to join fellow parishioners and friends for a pizza party in the parish hall for our May Senior Tuesday event. We will provide the pizza and beverages. Waterford

Barbecue Chicken Dinner at St. Mary’s Church, Crescent, 86 Church Hill Road, in the parish hall at 5:30 p.m. Dinner will consist of barbecue chicken, potato, macaroni and tossed salads, corn on the cob, beverages and ice cream for dessert. Ticket prices are $10 for adults, $5 for children under 12, and $25 for families. Tickets can be purchased after Masses on the weekends of May 20-21 and May 27-28, or in the office during weekly business hours. Takeout will be available, but will need to be ordered in advance no later than Wednesday, May 31. We hope to see you June 3 as we kick off summer!

Guilderland

Alumni June Luncheon hosted by the Schenectady Chapter of The College of Saint Rose Alumni at the Pines Restaurant at Pinehaven Golf Course, 1151 Sivers Road. Gathering will be at 12 p.m. and luncheon will be at 1 p.m. Program will include a presentation of The J. Raymond Quinn, Jr. Award, recognition of the Class of ‘73 Golden Roses and the installation of 2023-24 Chapter officers and directors. All Saint Rose alumni and their guests are invited. Albany Diocesan Cemeteries Community Memorial Mass at St. Pius X, 23 Crumitie Road at 9 a.m. Community Memorial Masses are held to honor loved ones that have passed and are interred within our 21 cemeteries. Family and friends are invited to attend these Masses.
