FRIDAY, MARCH 24

Mechanicville

Stations of The Cross at All Saints on the Hudson, 121 N. Main St., at 5:30 p.m. Our friends at NPM (National Pastoral Musicians) are running the Stations of the Cross at All Saints in Mechanicville. This will include both visual art as well as music and promises to be a beautiful evening of reflection!

Albany

Stations of the Cross for the Suffering: Join us at Christ the King Church, 20 Sumter Ave., at 7 p.m. for Stations of the Cross dedicated to the ill and the disabled, led by the Adult Faith Formation Ministry. Each of us has our own cross to carry – a disability of one sort or another. These stations will strengthen, inspire, offer hope and spiritual healing to all. 


SATURDAY, MARCH 25 

Delmar

Lenten Retreat: St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 35 Adams Place, is hosting “Set the World on Fire!” - an event designed to help you develop a profound sense of purpose in your life and in the lives of those around you. Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. Adoration and confession will follow beginning at 3:45 p.m. Mass at 5 p.m. Advance purchase: $20 per attendee; includes lunch. 


WEDNESDAY, MARCH 29

Hagaman

“Our Lenten Journey Through the Wilderness: From Desert Wanderings to the Promised Land.” This Wednesday afternoon mini-retreat will be held at 1 p.m. in St. Stephen’s Church Hall, 51 Pawling St. The 90-minute spiritual program will include prayer, a scriptural presentation and faith sharing. The program is structured around three themes: Wanderings in the Desert, Lessons for the Promised Land and Jesus’ Redeeming Love. There is no cost to attend. To help with planning, registration is appreciated. THURSDAY, MARCH 30

Round Lake

Bereavement Support Group hosted by Corpus Christi Church, 2001 Route 9. These groups will offer emotional and spiritual support for anyone who has suffered the loss of a loved one. Begins Thursday, March 30, and continues every two weeks until Dec. 21. The first meeting on March 30 will begin at 1 p.m. The second meeting on April 13 will be at 6 p.m. The times will alternate every other meeting and be held in Room 10 of the Parish Hall. We hope these meetings will help to support the bereaved as they journey through a new way of life. You do not need to be a parishioner of Corpus Christi to attend these sessions. SATURDAY, APRIL 1

All Diocesan Cemeteries 

Winter decoration cleanup for our cemeteries and lots will begin on April 1 for all Albany Diocesan Cemeteries. Lot owners are requested to remove any fall, winter and old decorations they wish to save before that date. The cleanup will take a few weeks depending on weather. This is for all cemeteries managed by Albany Diocesan Cemeteries. Phone: (518) 432-4953.


APRIL 1 & 2

Schenectady

The 15th Annual Palm Sunday Weekend Bake Sale, sponsored by St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church (600 State St., corner of State and Lafayette Streets), Schenectady, will be held Saturday, April 1 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. and on Sunday, April 2 from 8:45-10:30 a.m. in the Gathering Area of the Church. All kinds of baked goods suitable for the Palm Sunday and Easter holidays will be available, including Easter breads, cookies, pies, nut bread, cakes, etc.   The public is cordially invited!
