FRIDAY, JULY 21 

Ballston Lake

Third Annual Party on the Porch at Townley Wheeler Funeral Home, 21 Midline Road, from 6-9 p.m. A free, fun family event! Live music by Grand Central Station. Just bring your chair and favorite beverage! Pizza will be available for purchase. Thank you to Pizza Works for providing the pizza available for purchase. There will be a 50-50 drawing. Proceeds go to the Angel Names Association. We look forward to seeing you!

Sausage and Peppers Sandwich Fundraiser: The Knights of Columbus will be hosting a sausage and peppers sandwich fundraiser at Our Lady of Fatima Parish, 1735 Alexander Road, from 12 p.m. until sold out. Sandwiches are $8 each. For more information, contact (518) 895-2855.

Young Adult Latin Night Out: Capital Region Catholic is gathering young adults ages 21-39 for an evening of good food, Latin music, and if you wish, free salsa lessons at 6 p.m., in Freedom Park behind Jumping Jack’s. Come early to claim your spot, grab some food and settle in. Dance lessons to start, followed by Alex Torres and his Latin Orchestra. You’re free to sit and listen, practice the dance steps you’ve just learned, or listen while having some drive-in food.

Summer Young Adult Gathering at Christ the King Church, 20 Sumter Ave., from 6-7:30 p.m. Young adults, ages 18-25, are invited to our first young adult gathering at Christ the King from 6-7:30 p.m. in the Knights Chapel. Young Adult Adoration & Cornhole at St. Clement’s Church, 231 Lake Ave., at 6 p.m., hosted by the Diocese of Albany in collaboration with Adirondack Catholic. Join us for Adoration, BBQ dinner, and a cornhole tournament — yes, brackets and two-person teams! Ice cream social to follow. Event is for young adults (ages 18-39).

Step Up Men’s Conference 2023 at Our Lady of Martyrs Shrine, 136 Shrine Road, from 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. The Step Up Men’s Conference will give men the tools needed to grow in holiness in their everyday lives. The event will include presentations from Father Larry Richards and Deacon Darrell Miller, Reconciliation, Adoration, rosary, and 4 p.m. Mass. The purpose of this event is to grow in our relationship with Christ and establish a plan to bring this energy back to our families and parish families. Benefit Cornhole Tournament: Join us at the Latham-Colonie Knights of Columbus, 328 Troy-Schenectady Road, for a Benefit Cornhole Tournament for Devin Mahoney. Devin is 23 and a 2018 graduate of Shaker High School who was recently diagnosed with an aggressive form of bone cancer. Tournament information: 11 a.m. registration; 64 teams max; $100 per team; 12 p.m. start time; and double elimination. First prize is $500, second place is $250.
