REQUEST FOR BIDS
#2023-038-R
Sealed bids for Various Bridge Deck Replacements and Minor Repair Work at Three Bridge Sites Project, will be received by the Albany County Purchasing Agent, 112 State Street. Room 1000, Albany, New York 12207 until 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 18, 2023.
Request for bid (RFB) documents may be obtained at the office of the Albany County Purchasing Agent, as noted above. RFB documents may be available for download from the Empire State Bid System website at http://www.empirestatebidsystem.com starting by close of business (4:30 p.m.) on April 27, 2023.
The work sites are located at: Rowe Road over Onesquethaw Creek (BIN 3301300), Onesquethaw Road over Onesquethaw Creek (BIN 3301310) and Plank Road over Onesquethaw Creek (BIN 3301340) in the Town of New Scotland, Albany County.
The work includes: Replacing the existing timber deck on the existing steel truss superstructures. This contract includes repointing of existing masonry abutments, installation of steel bridge rail, transition bridge railing and approach rail, touch-up painting and minor approach work.
Plans, specifications and bid proposal forms will be provided on a CD in PDF format (ADOBE version 9) and may be obtained at the office of the Albany County Purchasing Agent listed above.
This is a UNIT PRICE BID. Each proposal must be made on an official Bid Form and must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of 5% of the base bid as security.
Successful bidder will be required to furnish a Faithful Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Bond each in the full amount of the contract price.
The County of Albany reserves the right to reject any or all bids received and to waive any informalities discovered therein. County of Albany, New York
