Chocolate Sale at St. Edward the Confessor, 569 Clifton Park Center Road. Do you like chocolate? Treat yourself or a loved one to some chocolate while supporting Birthright, a non-profit that offers support and resources for women with unplanned pregnancies. We are offering one-pound boxes of assorted chocolate (combination of milk and dark) from The Saratoga Candy Company for $20. Orders must be received by April 14. To order, call Rose Petrak at (518) 309-3575, then mail a check payable to Birthright. Our mailing address is P.O. Box 661, Ballston Spa, N.Y., 12020. A volunteer will call you in advance to arrange pickup during the week of May 8. Please do not contact Saratoga Candy Company. Birthright is handling orders and pick-up arrangements. Good Friday “Way of the Cross” Prayer Vigil for Life: Through His Holy Passion, our Lord united Himself with all the victims of suffering in this life. None suffers more innocently than children in the womb whose lives are taken by abortion. On Good Friday, we remember all the victims of abortion in a solemn, ecumenical prayer service at 10 a.m. The prayer service will be held at the public right of way at Planned Parenthood, 1040 State St., Schenectady. Charismatic Mass & Healing Service at Christ Our Light, 1 Maria Drive, presented by Catholic Charismatic Renewal of The Diocese of Albany. Free parking and admission. 17 dealers will exhibit stamps, covers, postcards, postal history and ephemera materials. Children will receive free packets of stamps and covers.
