PRIESTLY ASSIGNMENTS
Father Michael Cambi will serve the sacramental and pastoral needs of the community at St. Thomas in Cherry Valley (with Karen Walker as Parish Life Coordinator) while remaining pastor of St. Mary’s in Cooperstown, effective Sept. 11. Father Matthew Duclos has been named parochial vicar at Blessed Sacrament in Bolton Landing, St. Isaac Jogues in Chestertown and St. James in North Creek. Father Michael Flannery will be in residence at St. Clement’s in Saratoga, effective Aug. 15. Father Thomas Holmes has been named pastor at St. Mary’s in Clinton Heights and St. John/St. Joseph in Rensselaer. Father Brian Kelly has been named co-pastor at Holy Trinity in Cohoes and St. Michael’s in Cohoes while remaining pastor of St. Ambrose in Latham.
Father David Mickiewicz has been named rector at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Albany, and pastor at Historic St. Mary’s in Albany and St. Francis of Assisi in Albany, effective Aug. 15. Father John O’Kane has been named pastor at Blessed Sacrament in Bolton Landing, while remaining pastor at St. Isaac Jogues in Chestertown and St. James in North Creek. Father James O’Rourke has been named parochial vicar at St. Mary’s in Oneonta, St. Paul’s in Hancock and Holy Cross in Morris. Father Charles Onyeneke has been named parochial vicar at Mater Christi in Albany, All Saints in Albany, The Shrine Church of Our Lady of the Americas in Albany and St. Vincent DePaul in Albany while remaining parochial vicar at Blessed Sacrament in Albany. Father Desmond Rossi has been named pastor at St. Joseph’s in Fort Edward and St. Mary’s/St. Paul’s in Hudson Falls, effective July 15.
Father Donald Rutherford has been named co-pastor at Holy Trinity in Cohoes and St. Michael’s in Cohoes while remaining pastor of Immaculate Heart of Mary in Watervliet. Father Christopher Welch has been named pastor at St. Mary’s in Oneonta and St. Paul’s in Hancock, while serving the sacramental and pastoral needs of the community at Holy Cross in Morris, effective Aug. 15. Father Stephen Yusko has been named parochial vicar at St. Gabriel’s in Schenectady, St. Madeleine Sophie in Schenectady and Our Lady Queen of Peace in Schenectady, effective July 15.
Father Anthony Ligato has accepted the position of Director of Pastoral Formation of Pontifical North American College in Rome, Italy, effective Aug. 1. St. Therese Chapel is now a mission of St. Michael the Archangel in Glens Falls with Father Guy Anthony Childs, pastor. All assignments were effective July 1 unless otherwise noted.
