Sister Danielle Marie Baran, CR, the Provincial Superior of the Sisters of the Resurrection, located in Castleton, traveled to our Motherhouse in Rome on June 26 with our three elected delegates from the XVIII General Chapter.
They joined sisters from our provinces in Poland, Chicago, and our regions and delegatures in Italy, England, Canada, Australia, Argentina, Belarus and Tanzania. They returned with a renewed vision and direction for our International Community to live and proclaim our Resurrection Charism to those with whom we live, work and serve.
Sister Marie Pappas, CR, was elected Third Councilor of the General Administration in Rome. We thank God for guiding us throughout the months of preparation, deliberation and execution of this General Chapter. We are now poised to bring the gifts of the XVIII Chapter to life.
The Sisters of the Resurrection are also happy to share that the following sisters will serve on our Provincial Administration in New York: Second Councilor Sister Cherree Ann Power, CR, First Councilor Sister Cecilia Mary Berdar, CR, Provincial Superior Sister Danielle Marie Baran, CR, Fourth Councilor Sister Kathleen Marie Gerritse, CR and Third Councilor, Sister Dolores Marie Palermo, CR.
