Join the faithful in the Diocese of Albany for 40 Days for Life, a 40-day campaign of peaceful prayer, fasting and witness. Join people all across the country and throughout the world for the unborn from Sept. 22-Oct. 31.
Prior abortion workers have said that as many as 75 percent of women scheduled for an abortion don't show when people are there praying, and many women who have had abortions have said if just one person had asked them to keep their baby they would have let the child live. Please be that person for women and be their sign from God that He wants them to have their baby. Let them know that Jesus will help them. Make an appointment with God on the streets and come to a 40 Days For Life event near you. Here’s how to take part in 40 Days for Life in our community:

We will have speakers to motivate you and to help you "know what to do" on the street. We have materials available so you know how to help if you are approached. We will go over our new and developing group prayer schedule which will have leaders praying in various ways so you can find a group you are comfortable with. These include prayers of protection, singing, Biblical prayer, prayer from the heart, silent prayer with others just there with you, the Holy Rosary, Ecumenical Stations of the Cross, the Divine Mercy Chaplet, and even a Biblically-based Jericho March. Please come and find out how you can join us in prayer, how to use the calendar, and what to say or do "on the street." We seek to be Christ's hands and feet for all who have a desire to find where they can comfortably join us in this life-saving mission. God Bless you!
