Christ the King in Albany has set up a Respect Life Month table filled with materials and resources on how to help the unborn and expectant mothers.
The table lets parishioners “Pray” with world mission Rosary packets, miraculous medals and prayer cards; “Get Informed” with United States Conference of Catholic Bishop (USCCB) information packets on the Hyde Amendment, the Gospel of Life, a statement from Mother Teresa and other resources for women; and “Act” with Hyde Petition resources; information on the Gianna Center of Albany (the natural family planning health center), St. Catherine’s Center for Children (adoption and foster-care services), Rachel’s Vineyard Retreat (healing after abortion) on Oct. 22-24 at Dominican Retreat and Conference Center in Niskayuna and local 40 Days for Life events; and a diaper and toiletry collection which will be given out the third weekend in October to 100 local teen moms and dads.
