The parishioners at Sacred Heart Church in Castleton held a car parade on May 22 for Father Thomas Krupa to celebrate his 50 years in the priesthood.
Over 50 cars, three fire trucks and a police escort made up the parade for the beloved pastor, who has spent his last 29 years at Sacred Heart.
In celebrating his 50th anniversary, Father Krupa wrote in The Evangelist (April 22-29) that “every day has been a unique experience with many opportunities to serve my people. I have seen great faith among the parishioners in all my assignments as well as a commitment to true family values which has been an inspiration to me. … I would not trade this for any other life. The happiness and joy that my priesthood has brought me is priceless.”
