Diocese announces administrative and pastoral assignments
Bishop Edward B. Scharfenberger is pleased to announce the following administrative and pastoral assignments:
Father Robert Longobucco as moderator of the Curia, while remaining vicar general, vicar for Faith Formation and Education and pastor of St. Kateri Tekakwitha Parish.
Father David R. LeFort as diocesan director of the Pontifical Mission Societies (including the Society for the Propagation of the Faith) with residence at the Parish of Mater Christi in Albany, while remaining vicar general.
Father Anthony Ligato as rector of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, while remaining vicar for Vocations and rector of the pre-seminary.
Father Joseph G. Busch as pastor of the Catholic Community of St. Cecilia in Warrensburg, while remaining pastor of Our Lady of Annunciation in Queensbury and Sacred Heart Church in Lake George, as well as episcopal vicar of the Adirondack Vicariate.
Father Jay Atherton as pastor of Sacred Heart in Cairo, St. John the Baptist Church in Greenville, and Our Lady of Knock Shrine in East Durham, while remaining pastor of St. Theresa of the Child Jesus Church in Windham and Sacred Heart-Immaculate Conception Church in Haines Falls.
Father Rendell Torres as pastor of St. Joseph the Worker Parish in Richfield Springs and St. Joseph the Worker Parish in West Winfield.
Father Brian Lehnert as administrator of the Parish of Mater Christi in Albany.
Father Kyle Eads as parochial vicar of Sacred Heart in Cairo, St. John the Baptist Church in Greenville and Our Lady of Knock Shrine in East Durham, while remaining parochial vicar of St. Theresa of the Child Jesus Church in Windham and Sacred Heart-Immaculate Conception Church in Haines Falls.
Father Zachariah Chichester as parochial vicar of Our Lady of Hope Church in Whitehall, St. Ann’s Church in Fort Ann and St. Mary’s Church in Granville. All assignments are effective July 1.
