Father Daniel Quinn, pastor of the Church of the Blessed Sacrament and Shrine Church of Our Lady of the Americas in Albany, figured it was time to cut his hair. After all, he had not had a haircut since February 2020. Father Quinn said when the pandemic hit and the barber shops closed, “I just let it keep going despite some people not liking it.” When he decided to cut his hair this month, Father Quinn wanted someone to benefit from his long locks. The group he donated his hair to — about 11 inches worth — was Children With Hair Loss. The group is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization that provides human hair replacements at no cost to children and young adults facing medically-related hair loss.
