The Notre Dame-Bishop Gibbons School in Schenectady was the recent recipient of a $24,000 grant from the Schenectady Foundation to help the school continue to improve its technology and internet capabilities. This grant was the culmination of an 18-month process that included the NDBG community securing matching funds from alumni and outside organizations, most notably Amazon.
Along with the grant from the Schenectady Foundation, NDBG has raised more than $55,000 to improve its WiFi capabilities and invest in state-of-the-art computers and lab equipment.
Principal Kiante Jones said these contributions continue to make NDBG a leader in Catholic school education, preparing students for life after the classroom.
