The Albany Chapter of Legatus held a Chartering Ceremony on Aug. 27 at Saratoga National Golf Club. Bishop Edward B. Scharfenberger presided over the event that included Rosary, Reconciliation, a Mass and Chartering ceremony, which was followed by a reception and dinner. Thomas S. Monaghan, Legatus founder and CEO, held a fireside chat after dinner. Legatus, which is Latin for ambassador, is an international organization of Catholic business leaders and executives who have committed to study, live and spread the Catholic faith. Legatus has over 5,000 members and 90-plus chapters across the United States and abroad.
