Bishop Edward B. Scharfenberger celebrated the Mass for Ministers of the Church with the Order of Blessing for Those Who Exercise Pastoral Service for the 2020 graduates of the St. Kateri Institute for Lay Ministry Formation at St. Vincent de Paul Church in Albany on Oct. 10. These lay ministers serve in a variety of ministries in their parishes, both as volunteers and in leadership roles. As Bishop Scharfenberger noted in his homily, they are essential in the work of building up the Body of Christ.
