The Capital Region Interfaith Creation Care Coalition (CRICCC) will be joining the Riverkeeper in dozens of other projects from New York City to the Adirondacks for the Riverkeeper’s 9th Annual River Sweep – a Day of Service to the River.
The CRICCC-sponsored project will take place at the Hudson Shores Park on Saturday, Oct. 17, and Sunday, Oct. 18, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. (low tide). Volunteers will gather at the park to clean the half-mile shoreline of any debris that could potentially enter the river.
In 2019, the River Sweep removed more than 31 tons of trash from the river and its tributaries. It is hoped that we will help to make an even bigger impact with the 2020 Sweep.
