Ultrasound fundraiser
The Knights of Columbus kicked off Respect Life Month last month with an ultrasound initiative to benefit the Alight Center, a pregnancy resource center in Hudson. This program is one of the many “Faith in Action — Life Programs” directed by the Knights of Columbus Supreme Council.
The initiative is funded by the Knights of Columbus’ state and local councils, and will receive matching grants from the Supreme Council’s Culture of Life fund to purchase the ultrasound machine. The ultrasound machine’s 4D technology will provide real life images for mothers, which is especially important within the first few weeks of pregnancy when a majority of abortions occur.
The Knights of Columbus’ goal is to raise $17,000, half of the $34,000 needed to purchase the machine. Once this amount has been raised, the Knights of Columbus Supreme Council will provide the other $17,000.
Donations can be made by check payable to Knights of Columbus #316 (add Ultrasound in the Memo line) and sent to Knights of Columbus Council #316, PO Box 145, Hudson, N.Y., 12534. Donations can also be sent via credit card through the Knights of Columbus GoFundMe page:
