Little actions cause big changes
My name is Thomas Tarantelli. I am a 12-year-old boy who goes to Notre Dame-Bishop Gibbons School. I live with my parents and my two little sisters.
All my life, I have felt a special connection with God. It made me feel special when nobody cared about how I felt. It helped guide me when I struggled.
God was, is, and always will be, with me. He won’t ever give up on me. Even though I know that I make a lot of mistakes, God always wants me to help accomplish His perfect plan; the plan that will change the world as we know it.
I feel that after all that He’s done for me, I have to repay Him somehow. I know that that’s not possible. How can I, just an ordinary person, repay God for all that He’s done for me? There is nothing that I can tell Him that He already knows. I can’t give Him anything. I can thank God for all that He’s done for me, but I can’t actually repay God.
If I can’t repay God, I know something that I can do to accomplish His perfect plan. All I have to do is do little things that make changes: Give someone a smile, hold a door open for someone, those kinds of things. They might not be much, but I believe that just like a single ember can cause a forest fire, just a few acts of kindness can make the world a better place.
And my message for everyone reading this is to do the same. If we all do it together, I believe that one day, we can make a difference in this world. We can cause a fire of love strong enough to burn all of our worries and doubts. All we have to do is believe. Believe that God will never throw us away. No matter who you are, or where you came from. God has a plan for YOU.
