The Catholic School Office has started a relief fund for families in need of tuition help.
The COVID-19 Tuition Relief Fund is designed to help struggling families meet their tuition expenses during the unprecedented time of the COVID-19 pandemic. The goal is to raise at least $10,000.
“As COVID-19 sweeps our nation, we watch as our families, students and educators adjust to an unprecedented world of remote learning and ‘social distancing,’” said a press release from the Catholic School Office. “Unfortunately, many of our parents and guardians have experienced sudden severe hardship from an unexpected disruption of income, medical bills and other related challenges, creating an urgent need for tuition relief.”
The page can be accessed through this link: http://tinyurl.com/covid19tuitionrelief. The tax-deductible donation can be designated to a specific diocesan school which can be identified in the NOTES section located on the payment page.
“On behalf of the Albany Diocesan Catholic Schools that are located throughout the greater Capital Region,” said the press release. “We thank you for your consideration and ask that you keep our school communities in your prayers. May God bless you and keep you safe during these difficult times.
